Weekend mud-slinging Spear, Austin lead BMR Class of 2017 BLACKSTONE, Mass. – Saralynn Spear is the valedictorian and Abigail Austin is the salutatorian of the Blackstone Millville Regional High School Class of 2017. Spear is the daughter of Charles and Sherri Spear of Blackstone. According to officials from BMRHS, Spear "upholds the stan- dards of excellence in academia, leadership, community service and character that BMR expects of its students." Spear played soccer for the Chargers all four years of high school. During the winter months, she ran indoor track, and she also ran spring outdoor track all four years. Spear served as captain during her senior year of soc- cer, indoor and outdoor track. She is also a member of the BMR Student Council. During her junior year, Spear was recognized by the Harvard Club of Boston for being awarded the Harvard Book. She was also recognized by the superinten- dent of Blackstone-Millville Public Schools, who awarded her with the Superintendent's Award for Academic Excellence. In the fall, Spear will be attending SPEAR AUSTIN See BMR, Page 13 Domino's Pizza plans move to new building on Social Street Historic Longley Building may have new future WOONSOCKET – Plans to build a Domino's Pizza in the Social Street parking lot directly across the road from World War II Memorial Park are moving forward, with the Planning Board granting final approv- al last week of a subdivision to make way for the business. And Domino's current home, a historic Main Street structure known as the Longley Building, has attracted a potential new investor, owner John Eno told city officials. The freestanding building that will house the pizza franchise will take up roughly 24,000 square feet, or half an acre of the 3.15-acre Social Street lot, owned by Worcester-based couple Gary and Janice Arvanigian. Currently, the couple leases to ten- ants including Ultimate Rayz Tanning and City Side Veterinary Clinic in a plaza at the back of the property, which abuts Burger King. The town's Sewer Capital Account has a balance of $2.9 mil- lion, money that will allow North Smithfield to self-fund future exten- sions of the system, rather than take out bonds for the expense.
