8 2017 HEALTH & WELLNESS DIRECTORY FEBRUARY 2017 | THE VALLEY BREEZE The Holiday Retirement of Lincoln is immensely proud to announce to you that we have built a brand new state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center. It is dedicated to the memory of Raymond Roy (Son of Founder, Jules Roy), "A loving family man and a great leader who helped instill in others the conviction and the will to carry on". This brand new Rehabilitation Center is furnished with the latest cutting edge therapy equipment including new wheelchair accessible Sci-Fit bikes, electric parallel bars and balance training equipment. We have high-end modalities including electrical stimulation and laser. There is even a full kitchen training center and bathroom to put people through their paces of where they would struggle the most at home. Our own in-house Rehabilitation Team of physical, occupational and speech therapists are exceptional, with over 25 years of quality and a depth of experience in individual assessments and clinical skills. Our team is widely experienced in a vast array of clinical settings including hospitals, skilled subacute nursing facilities, home care and outpatient rehabilitation. The Rehabilitation Team welcomes families to also be part of their loved ones' therapy sessions and progress. This often provides additional motivation for our residents to get better! Every day, our Nursing and Rehabilitation Departments work collaboratively together to devise an individualized plan of care for each patient based on a comprehensive approach, an integrated system to healthcare that treats the "whole" person, not simply symptoms and disease. We are all team players and lead by the desire to improve quality patient care. For those who may be unfamiliar with us, The Holiday Retirement is a 170-bed skilled nursing facility, family owned and operated since 1973 by the Roy Family. The Holiday offers short-term and long-term care with a special focus on rehabilitation including physical, occupational and speech therapies. We are the only skilled nursing facility in the town of Lincoln. Together, we are a real family, formed by a unique group of individuals who care wholeheartedly about the health and well- being of each other and their residents and families. "Our Family Caring For Your Family", is our facility motto, and we steadfastly live by these words. We offer specialized medical care including Orthopedics, Cardiac/Pulmonary, Post-Surgical Care, Pain Management, Complex Medical Management, Wound Care and Intravenous Fluids and Antibiotics. Our 24-hour coverage by nurses and licensed healthcare professionals, specially trained in patient assessment and evaluation, are experts in Post-Acute Care. The Holiday Retirement is also a well respected and reputable healthcare facility with established business alliances among hospitals and physicians throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Because of this, we have been recognized and rated on with an above average category, and awarded the "Top 5 Star Rated Nursing Homes", their highest ranking. In 2014, we were designated a "Deficiency Free" facility by the Rhode Island Department of Health. In August 2015, The Holiday was also awarded "Readers' Choice Best Awards Winners" by the Pawtucket Times. The American Health Care Association (AHCA) proudly recognizes The Holiday Skilled Nursing Center for achieving a Tier Two recognition for the following goals: *Safely reducing hospital re-admissions *Safely reducing antipsychotics (off label) These achievements and honors truly show our ability to consistently provide quality patient care, and we are tremendously proud of them. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals passionately strive to deliver nothing but the best for our patients. Find out what makes us different.
