An accomplished writer, Major is also a regu- lar contributor to national home and décor magazines that include Romantic Homes, Romantic Country and French Country Style. Additionally, Major works as a com- munications consultant for non-profit organi- zations such as Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island and the Providence Children's Film Festival. She lives in Smithfield with her husband and two boys.
