Erdon, 83, of Cumberland, son of the late Loretta and Clifford Erdon, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2021 at The Holiday, Retirement Home in Manville. Bob was born in Central Falls. He was a graduate of Providence College and taught high school mathematics for 29 years at Cumberland High School. Bob was very active in the Roman Catholic community, even as a young boy serving as the head alter boy. He was part of the Army Reserves for 22 years and he was a lieutenant colonel. His unit found the mis- siles in Cuba in the 1960s. Bob met Presidents' Kennedy and Johnson. While on active duty for two years, he served as a photo interpreter. Bob was co-owner of the res- taurant, Sher-Le-Mon, and was a volunteer for 25 years for the Cumberland Crime Stoppers as chairperson. Bob was a frequent diner at his favorite restaurant, Poppy's, in Cumberland. Bob is survived by his sister, Jacqueline T. Wright, along with many dear cousins, nieces, great nieces, a goddaughter, and many close friends. His family and close friends would like to thank the staff at The Holiday Retirement Home in Manville. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Bob's Life Celebration to be held with visiting hours on Saturday, March 20, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., in the St. Ambrose Church, Albion. Burial will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery. To view the online memorial, visit . Rejeanne M. (Rivard) Denault, 94, passed away peacefully at Chrystal Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center on Tuesday, March 9, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Victor Denault. Born in Saint Joseph, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Albina (Plante) Rivard. Rejeanne worked in various tex- tile mills in the area and also as a bookkeeper for Denault's Auto Repair for several years prior to retir- ing. She loved to spend time with family and friends and she was very devoted to her faith and attended Mass regularly. Rejeanne enjoyed playing cards and exercising along with her hus- band at the Americana Resort in Florida where he worked as the instructor. She also loved to bowl and was the winner of the New England Bowling Tournament in 1986. She is survived by her two daughters, Louise Champagne and her husband, Charles, of North Smithfield, and Diane Denault and Edmond Lussier of Cumberland; one sister, Claire Lemay of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Roger, Leo, Marcel, Gaston, Jean Paul, Theresa, and Denise. Her funeral was held on Friday, March 12, from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial was in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass. Visit www.sdipardomcfh. com . Dorothy M. Darnell Dorothy M. (Sypula) Darnell, 86, passed away Friday, March 12, at Hope Hospice Care Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Dean L. Darnell. Born in Pawtucket, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Andrew and Pauline (Strycharz) Sypula. She lived most of her life in Cumberland. Mrs. Darnell is survived by her loving family: Donna M. Mayer and her husband, Rene, of Cumberland, Darlene L. Darnell of Florida, and David D. Darnell of Illinois. She also leaves grandchildren, great-grandchil- dren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Prayer Service on Friday, March 19, in the Chapel of Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial dona- tions to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, would be great- ly appreciated.
