28 ENTERTAINMENT NOVEMBER 19-25, 2020 | VALLEY BREEZE LIVING EDITION Black Plain Road to perform at the Stadium WOONSOCKET – As part of its Revival Series, the Stadium Theatre, 28 Monument Square, will present a concert by Black Plain Road on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. Originally playing under the name The Old Man Band aka TOMB many years ago, founding mem- bers Tim McGee, Ron Miller, and Marcel Labreque and later joined by Joe Sturm, continued the band under the name Black Plain Road. Since then the band has grown in size to include Tim Paul on drums, Gary Chabot on lead guitar, and Tara Girard on vocals. Playing classic rock and blues covers from Aerosmith to ZZ Top, along with alternative and bluegrass, perfor- mances will be held in the Grand Hall. The Stadium is following the state of Rhode Island health guidelines. The bar and concessions will be open during the show, but there will not be an intermission. Tickets are $26. MoWC launches annual Appeal and Raffle WOONSOCKET – The Museum of Work & Culture has launched its annual Appeal & Raffle to support the museum's free educational and public programming. This year's raffle will feature an early incentive drawing on Wednesday, Dec. 9, for 10 gift certifi- cates to local eateries and entertain- ment venues. The final drawing will be held on Sunday, April 11, during the museum's annual Salute to Spring event and will include over 30 prizes. "We are more reliant than ever before on the generosity of our sup- porters," said Director Anne Conway. "They have made it possible for the museum to remain vital during these challenging times and grow our reach with free virtual programming that has benefited thousands of students and individuals in 2020." Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five tickets. Donations may be made at www.shopmowc.com and raffle tickets may be requested by emailing mowc@rihs.org .
