David Jon O'Reilly, 45, passed away on Oct. 9. Born in Providence, he was the son of Paula (Landry) O'Reilly and the late Michael O'Reilly. David resided in Cumberland for the majority of his life. Along with his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Michael O'Reilly and his wife, Heather, of Pomfret, Conn.; Jeffrey O'Reilly and his partner, Billy Gesterling, of Woonsocket; as well as one sis- ter, Tracy Purvis, and her husband, David Purvis, of Douglas, Mass. He is also survived by his companion, Dawn Simeone. David loved his niece Hannah and his nephews, Michael, Nathan, and Jacob. David was a lifelong professional painter. He was an artist in his craft and took pride in the quality of his work. He also worked for Universal Fasteners in Cumberland for two years as a driver and a dispatcher. David loved spending time in Onset at the cape with his family. While there, he loved fishing by the bridge, kayaking, and relaxing on the beach. He was a big fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. David had a love of music, especially jam bands like Phish, The Grateful Dead, and String Cheese. He loved traveling to shows with his brother and friends. David was truly a humble soul with a heart of gold. He will be tre- mendously missed by his family and friends. We know he is now resting in piece with Dad, who he consid- ered his best friend. We love you forever and always, David. David's celebration of life will be private and held at the conve- nience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the J. J. Couture Ernest J. Couture, 92, of Cumberland, passed away peace- fully Oct. 10. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Allard) Couture. They were happily married for 66 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Louis and Alice (Lavallee) Couture. Ernest was the vice president and engineering manager for FM Global and FM Paris, France, for 37 years, retiring in 1991. He was a gradu- ate of Providence College and a former member of the Woonsocket Planning Board. He was an avid golfer and long- time member of Kirkbrae Country Club and Palm Beach National in Lake Worth, Fla. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lynne C. Couture, and her husband, Timothy Straight, of Delray Beach, Fla. He was the brother of the late Paul, Albert, and Maurice Couture. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, on Friday, Oct. 16, at 9:30 a.m., in St. Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. COUTURE O'REILLY Debra (Pontbriant) Hill, 67, passed on Oct. 6 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Thomas M Hill Sr. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Sally (Meehan) Pontbriant. A lifelong Lincoln resident, she worked at St. Joseph and Fatima hospital as a nuclear medicine super- visor for 44 years before retiring in 2016. She is survived by her son, Thomas M. Hill Jr.; her daughter, Sarah Simpson; her grandchildren Hailey Hill and Caleb Simpson; and is survived by her brothers Edward Pontbriant, Eugene Pontbriant, and her sister, Maryanne Melia.
