JUDY PAOLUCCI. This steel beam, once signed, was to be hoisted into place for the new addition to LaPerche Elementary School last Tuesday. VINCENT DETORA watches as the beam slowly moves into position. The beam was signed by students, teach- ers and administrators before it was lifted into place at LaPerche Elementary School. Hope Library announces virtual story times SCITUATE – Hope Library has announced its October virtual story times. • Preschool Story Time will be held on Mondays, Oct. 19 and 26, at 10:30 a.m. This program includes stories, music and movement for chil- dren ages 3 and older. • Book Babies will be held on Fridays, Oct. 16, 23 and 30, at 10:30 a.m. This program includes rhymes, rhyming books and music for chil- dren, ages birth to 24 months, and a parent or caregiver. • Time for Twos will be held on Fridays, Oct. 16, 23 and 30, 11:30 a.m. This program includes stories and music for children ages 2-3, and a parent or caregiver. • A Story! A Story!: Family Storytime will be held on Thursdays, Oct. 15, 22 and 29, at 7 p.m. Wear your pajamas and listen to new sto- ries every week. This program is geared toward families with children ages 3 and older. Most virtual programs will be done using Zoom and links to the pro- grams will be sent once registration is completed. Call the library at 401-821-7910 for more information on schedules and registration. The library also offers Grab'n'Go crafts for children ages 2-11. These crafts can be picked up curbside or in the library. Supplies are limited.
