NORTH SMITHFIELD – After an unusual campaign season, three candidates will seek to advance in the battle to be North Smithfield's town administrator next Tuesday, Sept. 8. The top two vote-getters in the primary contest will advance to the general election in November, where they'll be joined on the ballot by Town Council and School Committee candidates as well as state and nation- al candidates. Paul Zwolenski, Paul Jones and Douglas Osier Jr. are all running for the town's top elected position. On Monday, Raimondo announced that every school district in the state except Providence and Central Falls has met the criteria for an in-person reopening on Sept. 14.
