A post on the website Yard Sale Search for a multi-family yard sale in Burrillville said that masks and face coverings are required. "We will provide hand sanitizer and wipes," it reads. Another listing for a yard sale in Pawtucket asked folks not to forget their masks, saying "it's mandatory." Make sure to check with your local town or city hall to see if there are any additional regulations. Folks in North Providence, for example, are required to obtain a permit before having a yard sale, says Mayor Charles Lombardi. Cumberland officials noted that there are no additional rules, while in Pawtucket people don't need a license but they are limited to two yard sales per year, according to a city ordinance.
