E-mail your order: There's plenty of opportunity to salvage your summer If you're like me, this strange 2020 has caused you to appreciate the lit- tle things just a bit more: Eating a perfect burger at your favorite local restaurant, hanging out with friends at the beach, breathing the fresh air around me unhindered. Much has been written about how much we've lost for the summer of 2020, but in this year's Summer Magazine, we're highlight- ing ways we can salvage some of the favorite and fun aspects of a season that's so special in the Ocean State, even if we might miss out on some of our traditional destinations such as fireworks or con- certs. And who knows, perhaps you'll learn a thing or two. For instance, I would have assumed Palagis Ice Cream was getting hammered without some of the events its trucks are typically seen at, but as it turns out, the company is having one of its best years as people rediscover the joy of a sim- ple afternoon treat on the front porch. There's plenty in these pages about enjoying your home, but we also wanted to give you a wider view of the summertime favorites you can still enjoy in some form. Thank you for reading local news, and please keep supporting the advertisers who make great local con- tent like this possible. Ethan Shorey Valley Breeze Editor
