20 SUMMER 2020 | THE VALLEY BREEZE 20 20 Local theaters planning outdoor shows this summer PAWTUCKET – Two Pawtucket- based theater companies that have had to halt their indoor performances due to the ongoing coronavirus pan- demic say they're planning on hosting outdoor shows later this summer, though as of mid-June the details were still in the works. Leaders at Mixed Magic Theatre told The Breeze they are planning a series of six performances at the group's outdoor amphitheater at 560 Mineral Spring Ave. for August and September, while organizers for Burbage Theatre Co., at 59 Blackstone Ave., say they are hop- ing to host outdoor events after Aug. 1 and through the fall. "The shows will be on the smaller side," said Jonathan Pitts-Wiley, artis- tic director for Mixed Magic, in order to follow social distancing rules and to keep staff, performers, and audience members safe.
