14 2020 HEALTH & WELLNESS GUIDE | THE VALLEY BREEZE | MARCH 2020 NORTH SMITHFIELD – Dan Marcotte, president, and Kim Wright, vice president, and their team of five therapists, along with their outstanding office staff, are getting used to the additional workspace at their Marcotte Physical Ther- apy offices, which expanded and opened last November. Now joining what once were three office suites, the expan- sion was necessary as more and more people sought their services. Says Kim, with 27 years experience, "We're getting more and more patients and doctors' referrals, and more repeat visitors. We have a great word-of-mouth." Each treatment area is individual and private, separat- ed by curtains, which patients have told us they appreciate. Added Dan, who has 40 years of experience, "Our therapists generally remain with their patients, and we offer a continuity of care – one-on-one care – where our patients get comfortable with a therapist, and our therapist in time has a deep knowledge of the patient." Marcotte Physical Therapy offers a full range of services, from craniosacral therapy for headache suf- ferers, to handling traditional aches and pains, strains and sprains, post-surgical therapy and outpatient rehab. People who need help with balance, or suffer vertigo, can come to Mar- cotte, says Kim. "We specialize in BPPV and dizziness, and can generally help someone in just a few visits." When asked what makes Marcotte unique, Dan was quick to point out with pride his per- sonable therapists, aides, and office staff. Patients can easily have their billing ques- tions answered as we have our own knowl- edgeable billing staff, who are always eager to answer their questions. "Our people have different skill sets, but work together well and help each other out. Whether our patient is pediatric or elderly, we bring a wide variety of expertise with our ther- apists. Our quality of care is superior, and we offer comprehensive help to patients. And now, they have a big 4,500 square feet to work in. They're in the Branch River Profes- sional Offices, to the right (south) as you enter. Team members, besides Dan and Kim, are Katie E. Evans, DPT; Kaitlin M. Riggs, MSPT; Marisa K. Lee, DPT; Kristin Bradshaw, PTA, and Mary Panarello, MPT. "Patients are happy. We have good outcomes," reports Dan with pride, "and we receive many referrals."
