The match ended on a kill by Adegboyega, and her teammates joyfully swarmed her on the court. "We wanted to make a statement," Linhares said. "I didn't expect the match to (end up with a 3-0 score), but I'm happy it did. My heart got a little break." Adegboyega finished the day with 10 kills, three blocks and two aces. Nault handed out 28 assists, and Paige O'Brien, who was playing in her final high school match, had seven kills and two blocks. "Paige, who is our only start- ing senior, was huge for us today," Linhares said. "Whether she shows up on the stat sheet or not, she's a big leader. She wanted to get a state championship, and we got her one." "Everything that's happened in the last three or four months that we've been preparing for showed on this court today," Nault said. "This is our first win at St. Ray's for a girls' volley- ball team and we just started a legacy for ourselves. It feels absolutely amaz- ing." In the Saints' 25-19, 25-11, 22-25, 25-22 victory over Central, SRA used a late 11-3 run in the fourth set to rally past the Knights. Jordan Cournoyer- Heriveaux led the Saints with 10 kills, eight digs, and four aces; Nault had 28 assists, and Adegboyega delivered eight kills and three blocks. CHAMPIONS From Page 10 do you know?
