The event, hosted by Rhody Craft, takes place at Hope Artiste Village, 1005 Main St., on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The juried craft show features local and affordable art and goods, says organizer Kim Clark, owner of Rhody Craft. What sets Craftopia apart from other craft shows? "It's fun (and) festive," Clark said. "It's juried but also affordable. We look for fun, colorful, affordable art by the people for the people." "Sometimes when you hear juried shows, that means it's very high end," she added. "We're very careful about the quality we're admitting but look for affordable (products)." "But you don't have any pets," someone commented. "I know, but the last package that came in from Chewy contained a book called 'Crafting With Cat Hair.'" It was a glossy, hardcover See RHEA, Page 7 A watercolor painting of an indigo bun- ting bird by Pawtucket artist HOLLY WACH, whose art will be displayed at this year's Craftopia event. When asked about the price range of items, Clark said they're anywhere from $1 to $100. For returning visitors, she said not much is new in terms of the setup, as they "pretty much stick to what See CRAFTOPIA, Page 10 O P T O M E T R I S T CUMBERLAND HILL VISION CARE DR.
