Tippett visited five different schools in southeastern New England, including Central High, to present them with a grant, which was made possible by the Patriots Foundation's Super Bowl LIII raffle and will help the schools purchase new equipment and cover any expenses. Lincoln's LAUREN GEREMIA, who is a senior on the Lincoln High girls' tennis team, recently provided one of the highlights of the LHS fall sports season in the Lions' home finale against East Providence. Her 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 win in second singles broke a 3-3 tie and helped the Lions net a 4-3 triumph. That thrilling victory kicked off a three-match win streak that allowed the Lions to clinch the eighth and last seed in the Division II playoffs. Geremia's record in singles this season was 10-5. In her team's 2-1 victory over Burrillville in their regular-season finale last Friday, she produced the game-winning goal with 3:10 on the clock. In their win over the Clippers, sophomore forward Grace Miguel scored the Lions' first goal midway through the opening half, but the Clippers tied the score six minutes into the second half off a goal by senior Morgan Felice that was set up by classmate Jenna Bowerfind. The Clippers end their season with a 6-7-2 mark that is their best record in four years. FIELD HOCKEY From Page 23 16:50.02. Also finishing among the top 30 fin- ishers were juniors Jake Gilson (21st, 17:15.50) and Owen Molis (22nd, 17:17.89), sophomore John Walker (24th, 17:25.74), and juniors Jorge Rocha (25th, 17:29.84) and Brendan Johnson (30th, 17:57.03). The Class B boys' meet saw senior Nick Gaitanis lead the Lions by taking 15th place in 17:13.87 and classmate Chris Lezon finish 25th in 17:32.46. Sophomore Ben Martins (34th, 18:09.31) and senior Bryan Roy (40th, 18:25.16) were their next two finishers. The Lincoln girls' team also com- peted in the Class B meet and placed ninth in the team standings, as senior Abigail O'Hern led the Lions with her 26th-place finish of 21:16.88.
