These classes and work- shops, along with many others, are all part of the Heritage Arts Studio initia- tive at the theater, 549 Broad St., which offers lessons in traditional art forms taught by respected performers and teachers, says BRT Executive Director Russell Gusetti. Enrollment for the fall ses- sion at the theater, which is celebrating its 20th year of programming this year, is currently open. What's unique about the classes, Gusetti said, is that they're geared toward adults and taught in a group setting. "If you have always been curious about a certain instru- ment or dance style … and want to learn it in a non- threatening, very affordable environment, this is the place to do it," he said. Classes include a six-week series of beginner, continu- ing and advanced beginner five-string banjo lessons, taught by Ed Sweeney, which will take place on Saturdays, beginning Sept. 14.
