Join the adventure of scouting in Cumberland. Scouts gain life skills, leadership, lifelong friends and more, states a release. Stop by and test your aim at our archery and BB ranges. Learn First Aid, try your luck at tying knots, and show off your bottle rock- et skills. There will also be a chal- lenge course, a rain gutter regatta and more. Lafferty was a school teacher in Providence and Central Falls and a leader in the Girl Scouts for many years, and is a resident of Cumberland. Happy 100th Troop 1 Manville to hold yard sale this weekend LINCOLN – The Boy Scouts of Troop 1 Manville will be holding a huge 30-plus family Yard Sale at St. James Church, 33 Division St., on the weekend of Sept. 7 and 8. On Saturday, Sept. 7, treasures can be found from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. while on Sunday the sale will go from 8 a.m. to noon. Items available include furniture, clothes, toys, sporting goods, electron- ics, books, movies, tools, household goods, pet care items and more. Cumberland Library hosts movie series CUMBERLAND – Enjoy an afternoon at the Cumberland Public Library, 1464 Diamond Hill Road, while watching a film on the big screen on Monday, Sept. 9, at 1 p.m. The movie will be "Good Will Hunting," rated R. Each week, the library will host Monday Matinee, which will start at 1 pm.
