After a leadoff strikeout, Mensah singled to left and stole second. Zach Lavallee then hit a long line drive to left that looked to be the second out, but the ball fell in for a hit and Mensah scored easily. Ferranti, meanwhile, went three innings and was responsible for the one run on four hits and one walk. He struck out five. Starting the fourth inning and finishing out the game was Lavallee, who picked up the win by pitching four scoreless innings, giving up four hits and a walk while striking out six. "Alex Ferranti and Zach Lavallee have been our 1-2 pitchers on this team, and they've done a fantastic job." SanMartino said. Shadoian and Ferragamo teamed up to pitch a five-hitter, as Shadoian gave up three hits in four innings of work and Ferragamo went the rest of the way. "Our season has been going fantas- tic," SanMartino added. "We saw a lot of kids progress this year and I'm very happy with (the season) thus far."
