The Chargers also took part in the Franklin Invitational Tournament and captured the tourney title by posting a 13-3 victory over Marlboro in the title game. Gator's Pub crowns June's CoEd 4's tourney champions IN BRIEF Our Saviour's Parish plans golf tournament on July 20 at N.E.C.C. WOONSOCKET – Our Saviour's Parish in Woonsocket will hold a golf tournament on Saturday, July 20, at the New England Country Club in Bellingham, Mass. The tourney will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start, and the fee to play is $125 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf with the use of a cart, a post-tournament dinner, $5 worth of raffle tickets, and a chance to shoot a hole-in-one and win a car. The tournament committee is also looking for sponsors. A corporate sponsor would have a banner with its business information displayed on it for a donation of $500, and a hole sponsor would have a sign at the tee box of an assigned hole for $100. Department of Environmental Management will host two free fly- tying workshops for novice and expe- rienced fly-tiers on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at North Smithfield Public Library on 20 Main St. Instruction on freshwater angling will be included, and all equipment and materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own materials if they prefer. Children ages 10 and older are invited to par- ticipate. Space is limited and registration is required.
