Rhode Island Foundation awards grants to expand public access to records LINCOLN – The Blackstone River Watershed Council, in Lincoln, received a grant for $2,800 to update its website in order to improve pub- lic access to important documents and project updates. The funding is through the Herman H. Rose Civic, Cultural and Media Access Fund at the Rhode Island Foundation. In addition, the Watershed Council will use the grant to preserve collec- tions of documents and important records, provide continuity of infor- mation to its directors and ensure control and security of the informa- tion. The Blackstone River Watershed Council is among 16 organizations across Rhode Island that will share more than $42,000. The other proj- ects include digitizing the archives of the Gamm Theater, documenting the history of Latin Americans living in Rhode Island and digitizing the records of the R.I.
