BREEZE PHOTOS BY BILL MURPHY An HONOR GUARD from the Pawtucket Fire Department marches down Roosevelt Avenue to the fire station for the start of the Pawtucket Fire Department Memorial ceremony. The annual ceremony honors deceased members of the department. The ceremony was held at the Pawtucket Firemen's Relief Organization monument at the station last Sunday. Lt. SCOTT GIROUX, left, and retired fire- fighter STEVE SHELLY, of the Pawtucket Fire Department, place a wreath in honor of deceased Pawtucket fire- fighter Francis Sherry. ANN KEAN–STOPFEL, left, of Barrington, and Lt. STEPHEN SMALL, of the Pawtucket Fire Department, display a plaque honoring Ann's son, deceased Pawtucket firefighter Michael Kean. Ann donated $7,000 to the Pawtucket Firemen's Relief Organization in her son's name that will be used for two annual scholarships for the children and grandchildren of deceased firefighters. The plaque will hang in Pawtucket Fire Headquarters and will feature the names of the recipients.
