30 CUMBERLAND MAY 23-29, 2019 | VALLEY BREEZE | CUMBERLAND LINCOLN EDITION John E. Fothergill John E. Fothergill, 82, of Cumberland, passed away May 11, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Maitland (Crandall) Fothergill. Born in Manchester, N.H., he was a son of the late William M. and Dorothy R. (McLane) Fothergill. Mr. Fothergill was a buyer for Balfour Manufacturing Co. of Attleboro, Mass., for many years. He later owned his own Limousine Service in Attleboro for 20 years prior to his retirement. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, John E. Fothergill Jr. of Oregon, William Fothergill of Lincoln and Michael J. Fothergill of Cumberland; his sister Dorothy A. Fothergill of Cumberland; and four grandchil- dren. He was the brother of the late Robert and William Fothergill. A burial service was held May 16, in Diamond Hill Cemetery, Reservoir Road, Cumberland. Visiting hours were held May 15, at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln.
