16 IN OUR SCHOOLS MAY 23-29, 2019 | VALLEY BREEZE | CUMBERLAND LINCOLN EDITION Art Night at CHS CELIA HENDERSON, a senior, created a series of paintings to represent phobias including germs, blood, fear of gaining weight, ugliness and fear of mirrors as her theme for her paintings. Using pieces of a tambourine, broken CDs, a flute, trom- bone, harmonica, kazoo and piano, freshman CHARLOTTE WATERS decorated an electric guitar for Art Night at Cumberland High School last Thursday. BREEZE PHOTOS BY CHARLES LAWRENCE CAITLYN LONGEST, a senior, points to her self-portrait, which she painted using markers as her medium. Cumberland High School held its annual Art Night last Thursday, May 16. The show fea- tured students' paintings, photography and ceramics. HANNAH BURKE, a sophomore, stands behind her paintings, which include colored flowers that represent each grade at the school, red for freshmen, yellow for sophomores, white for juniors and blue for seniors.
