Spring Rummage Sale set for May 3-4 Interfaith remembrance of the Holocaust is May 1 SCITUATE – Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Women will host its Spring Rummage Sale on Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 4, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., at 604 Seven Mile Road. PROVIDENCE – Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) commemorates the annihilation of six million Jews, along with people of many nations who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the extreme racist attitudes, policies and actions carried out by Nazi Germany and its collaborators. The day also cel- ebrates the heroism of Jewish resis- tance during this period. This year's statewide interfaith commemoration of the Holocaust will take place at Temple Emanu-El, 99 Taft Ave., on Wednesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. The ceremony is multi- denominational, and all are invited to attend.
