Returning for the third time this year will be the Rhode Island Spring Flower and Garden Show, now in its 26th year, as well as the 6th annual Energy Expo. "The show has grown into so many different categories," John Marcantonio, CEO of the Rhode Island Builders Association, told The Valley Breeze. "The tagline of the show is 'it's all here.' It's a very effi- cient three-word way to capture the show." With more than 300 exhibitors, attendees can find information on plenty of new products and talk with contractors from diverse areas of expertise. The four-day event, which is presented by nonprofit RIBA, is expected to draw more than 25,000 people, according to organizers. All partners are Rhode Island- based, Marcantonio said. "It's a Rhode Island homegrown experi- ence." For three days, 1,000 students from more than 30 career and tech- nical education programs across the state assemble and build show- cases for the event, he said. Schools include Ponaganset High School, Scituate High School, Smithfield High School, William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School, and Woonsocket Area Career & Technical Center.
