Magic at Marieville Learn about finances, cooking at the North Providence Library NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Library is offering a number of programs to residents. • The Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island kicks off Money Smart Week this Saturday, March 30, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Certified financial planners will offer free personalized financial advice on a first come, first served basis. There will also be workshops on a variety of financial topics throughout the day. No registration is required for this free event. • The library will host Alana Blakley, senior ambassador of Pure Haven Essentials in Johnston, for a talk on seasonal allergies, particularly how to reduce irritations and possible symptoms, this Thursday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. Registration required for this free event. • "The Basics of Personal Finance" with Alec Stais, chief investment officer of the Employees' Retirement System of R.I., is Thursday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. • The Rhode Island Resource and Recovery Corporation presents "Recycling Right" on Monday, April 8, at 6 p.m. • A Genealogy and Family History Workshop with the R.I. State Archives is Wednesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. Join the archives staff for a discussion on identifying misinforma- tion, how to search records, and how the state's archives can assist in in- depth family history research.
