Jason Macari says his next big step in his transformation of the Berkeley Mill into a vibrant mixed-use com- plex on Martin Street is to create the amenity everyone asks him about: a new craft brewery. "That's really the only question I get about this place," he said, laugh- ing. By ETHAN SHOREY Valley Breeze Managing Editor LINCOLN – Construction proj- ects along George Washington Highway/Route 116 are booming, helped in part by a mild winter with little snow. Crossing the bridge over the Blackstone River from Cumberland into Lincoln, the first change is taking place just after the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's salt shed on the north side of Route 116. At the end of the driveway between 678 and 676 George Washington Highway (home to Mandeville Signs), a new self-storage facility will be built. The Lincoln Planning Board gave master plan approval to the stor- age facility, owned by 678 GHW LLC, during its Jan. 23 meeting. The 5.68-acre commercial lot will contain a total of six buildings and exterior storage space, to be built in addition to the existing com- mercial building at the front of the property. The storage units will be located at the back of the parcel, fenced off from the general public and accessible via controlled gates. Town Planner Al Ranaldi said the only concern related to the proposed storage facility was that it's planned for the former H & H Screw site, identified by the Rhode Island Department of Coming storage facility part of construction boom on Route 116 By NICOLE DOTZENROD Valley Breeze Staff Writer See ROUTE 116, Page 20 CUMBERLAND – Cory Pesaturo made the list of reasons why Providence is better than Los Angeles, and it was pretty cool. The fact that it was in support of his beloved hometown football team? Even better. Pesaturo, the famed accordionist and Cumberland resident who has made plenty of headlines for his achievements over the years, said last Thursday's pre-Super Bowl seg- ment on CBS This Morning titled "Regions of Patriots and Rams face off" was his first time being on national TV. "Well that took long enough in my career," he said. "Best morning news though."
