A variety of designs will be presented demonstrating how evergreens, can- dles and florals can be used in mul- tiple ways throughout the holidays. 'Fearless Public Speaking' at library tonight SCITUATE – North Scituate Public Library, 606 West Greenville Road, will offer Fearless Public Speaking, presented by Betty Galligan, this Thursday, Nov. 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This seminar will include ways to overcome anxiety, techniques to speak well off the cuff, and how to get your ideas across verbally with poise. Topics include when to use gestures, humor and visual aids to add impact, and dealing with stage fright. Come ready to actively participate or simply listen and learn without any pressure to speak. Scituate Lions Club hosts bingo fundraiser SCITUATE – The Scituate Lions Club will host a bingo fundraiser at the Scituate Senior Center, 1315 Chopmist Hill Road, on Sunday, Nov. 11. Doors open at 1 p.m., games begin at 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Rhode Island Lions Children's Cancer Fund Inc. The cost is $20 per package of 10 games/nine cards each. Attendees must be age 18 or older. There will be cash prizes awarded. Canned goods will also be col- lected for the Scituate Food Pantry. IN BRIEF
