2 SMITHFIELD OCTOBER 18-24, 2018 | VALLEY BREEZE & OBSERVER | SMITHFIELD SCITUATE FOSTER GLOCESTER SMITHFIELD – For 100-year-old Theresa "Terry" Orlandi, the secret to living a long life is to do what you love. Surrounded by members of her fam- ily and more than 50 members of the Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehab Center on Douglas Pike, Orlandi was the center of attention as she blew out the candles on her 100th birthday cake on Monday, Oct. 15. Orlandi has been at Heritage Hills for more than two years, and spent her birthday singing with her friends at the center. Orlandi's daughter, Lynn DiSimone, said her mother's secret was having only one child who never gave her any trouble. "I never gave you any stress and that's the truth," DiSimone said. "That's right," Orlandi responded. Truthfully, Orlandi said she thinks she lived so long because she always did everything when she was supposed to Do it, love it, says centenarian By JACQUELYN MOOREHEAD Valley Breeze & Observer Staff Writer BREEZE PHOTO BY JACQUELYN MOOREHEAD THERESA ORLANDI, of Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, blew out the candles on her 100th birthday cake on Monday, Oct. 15.
