Fall brings outdoor work and fun IN BRIEF Blackstone Valley Tourism Council seeks volunteers for Route 295 visitor center LINCOLN – The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council is seeking volunteers for part-time help at the I-295 Visitors Center, with the next volunteer meeting being at the Visitor Center this Friday, Oct. 12, at noon. Lunch is provided. Several three- or four-hour shifts are available to staff the visi- tors center during the hours of 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. seven days per week. Volunteers greet travelers and assist with providing area information, directions, attractions and events either by phone or in person. They also ensure that information rack is kept up to date with current infor- mation. Interested candidates should have a basic knowledge of the Blackstone Valley and have demonstrated customer service skills. Orientation and training is provided.
