6 ENTERTAINMENT JULY 12-18, 2018 | VALLEY BREEZE LIVING EDITION Museum of Work & Culture announces Summer SensAbilities program WOONSOCKET – The Museum of Work & Culture has launched its slate of summer SensAbilities pro- grams. Made-to-Order Mondays will pro- vide free admission for families, day programs, and aides who wish to experience the MoWC in a low sen- sory, less crowded environment. Sensory elements such as lighting and sound are adjusted, and trained staff and volunteers are on hand to provide supplementary tools and offer tours to visitors who have chil- dren with special needs. In addition, the program will provide families free access to therapist-led art and music activi- ties designed to help children and teens with sensory sensitivities engage creatively with the MoWC's themes. • July 23, at 2 and 3 p.m., explore the historical traditions of French Canadian and folk music with music therapists from Hands in Harmony. Participants will have the opportunity to play with percussion and string instruments, engage with rhythm, repetition, and composing. • Aug. 6, at 10 and 11 a.m., "Worry Warriors" will provide par- ticipants with a bit of background information on Guatemalan worry dolls and materials to construct their own worry warrior. After com- pletion, comic book panel pages will be available to narrate the story of each participant's warrior. • Aug. 20, at 2 and 3 p.m., "Of the Home" will offer sensory-based art experiences using common household items so that families can learn from and easily utilize the experiences after the workshop. Boys & Girls Clubs hosting outdoor Family Movie Night CUMBERLAND – Families are invited to a free outdoor movie night at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island Cumberland Clubhouse, 1 James J.
