Pawtucket resident Colin Gauthier recently graduated from Bishop Feehan, and there are also a few newcomers from Tolman. Three players who graduated from SRA in 2017 are back with Post 10: Brenden Aldridge, Elliott Vadnais, and Peter Spetelunas, while two newcomers that graduated from Tolman last spring are Aaron Massey and Peter Microulis. Schott, Gauthier, Aldridge, and Microulis are pitchers. Post 10 also picked up two players from this year's SRA baseball team, pitcher Jake LeFort and outfielder James Coleman, as well as some players from E.P,, and a newcomer Boisclair went on to highlight was Connor Carey, who once was a Saint, but transferred to Bishop Hendricken. "Great kid," Boisclair said about Carey. "If we tell him to go catch, he'll do that. Play first? He'll do that. He never pitched before, but last week, he pitched. Anything we say to do, he does, and as a coach in my first year, I look for that. Having that attitude has really stuck out to me, and all the other coaches have noticed as well." Despite growing up with most of these players, as well as playing with them, Boisclair said that he made it clear to his team before the season started that he "wasn't going to be messing around and be their best friend on the field." "It was weird at first, but early on, I tried to set the tone a little bit, let them know that I was here to win," he said. "I was on the (state) championship team, but I let them know that I've also been on a couple of teams for Collette that weren't so good. I let them know that I wanted to be on the upper end of things, and really battle and win some games, and I know a lot of these guys have that same attitude." Overall, Boisclair wants to keep his guys loose and have a fun summer. "I think number one is just having fun," he said. "I like to tell them to ball out. For me, only being a year out (as a player), I would kill to be out there with them again, so I'll say, 'Live it up, have some fun, and just come ready to play.' " Post 10, which hosted Cranston's Gershkoff/Auburn Post 20 on Tuesday night at Slater Park, is back in action tonight with a 5:30 p.m. contest against New England Frozen Lemonade/Shields Post 43 at Warwick Vets Middle School. The regular season is scheduled to end on Tuesday, July 24. "We all have the expectations of making the playoffs," said Boisclair. "We lost in the semifinals last year to Upper Deck, so we want to improve upon that and make it to the championship and hopefully win the whole thing." POST 10 From Page 11 Local news. Local owners.
